About to place an order, but can't find anything about them online (TrustPilot etc).

Has anyone here used them.

Guess my AIBU is - WIBU to place an order!

Thanks!

I wouldn't. No trustpilot or similar is a worry, the site must be very new.

A few red flags for me in the policies - mentions "Corneliani" when that name doesn't feature anywhere else. All the clothing are Hobbs brand, so why is it called Deev Copeland? No idea where they ship from. Don't risk it.

Also! Use Google Lens to find similar images. The photos are taken from the legitimate Hobbs website in many cases.

When you zoom an image and right click, the menu display is in Chinese.

Again OP: don't do it!

That web domain was registered 178 days ago so they are very new.

They are also breaking UK/EU law by not publishing a physical address on their site.

Thank you very much

There seems to be no way to see who they are in the real (as opposed to online) world:

  • No physical address, phone number, or any other "about us" info on the website.
  • Recent DNS registration.
  • Nothing in WHOIS record which ties it to a real-world entity.
  • DV certs so no verification that the site belongs to an actual company (yes, I know DV certs aren't inherently bad - my place uses them for some purposes - but is yet another way in which there's no tie to a real-world entity)

Site is hosted by a relatively small cloud provider with images hosted by an alibaba cloud bucket, fronted by a different domain (oss.anne-chloe.com) - these seem choices for a legit UK-based company to use

In other words, there are a lot of red flags here, but no outright smoking gun that it's a scam. If you really want to know for sure, buy something for more than £100 on a credit card - if it turns up great, if it doesn't you'll have S75 protection... but it'll be a pain to go down this route.
