To not understand teen relationships

DD is 15 and goes to a girls' school and an extra curricular club which is mixed. She says two boys move away from her if she goes to get her hoodie left near them and they don't go near her if they want to get their water bottle.

I think it's because they are shy and she is pretty.

Are there any other explanations? She wears deodorant! Any advice for DD?

It starts early. Boys making girls doubt themselves to make THEM feel good.

They are probably just intimidated by her if she's really pretty. I'd just tell her to smile and be polite and they'll hopefully see she's not scary just because she's got a pretty face. Though it's been nearly 20 years since I was that age so what do I know🤣

The advice - I think - is to push the message that it's nothing at all to do with your daughter, and it's their problem.
The best thing is to ignore and not allow them the satisfaction of knowing that they're getting to her.

Totally agree

@TenacityWins my son flinches if he feels I'm encroaching on his personal space

Maybe they just feel uncomfortable she's close yo them, nothing to do with her appearance
