To ask how to remove window condensation

Morning
I have condensation inside my windows on cold mornings. Currently I'm opening windows to get rid but a friend mentioned a vacuum thing you can get. They are fairly expensive so what do you guys do? I was thinking of a chamois block?

Another vote for the window vac. Two pluses, DH loves it, so he does them ( not me) and the windows don’t need much cleaning inside during the winter, as it leaves them smear free.

Advise cleaning the window to stop the streaks - give the blade a wipe too.

Dammit, the answer to everything is always more cleaning, isn't it? Grin

Every. Sodding. Time.

The good news is that with your Karcher window vac it will be no problem 😁

A towel for quoting is not the best solution would have to be dried either indoors or in a tumble drier which can cause more condensation. Clothes are coming off damp on the line.

Moisture absorbers (little box things next to windows), dehumidifiers (bit expensive) and the vacuum type thing helps.

^ wiping (not quoting)

Make sure the trickle vents are open, use the venting in bathrooms, don't bath or shower late at night, I just use a microfibre cloth but I don't get masses as windows new double glazed - surprised i get any to be honest

I wish there was a better way to solve this. I'm meant to both air the house out well, but somehow keep it warm. Open windows to let the moisture out, but use dehumidifier with the windows shut... The condensation is one thing, but I've already noticed spots of mould on my walls, not sure what else I can do to prevent this other than the juggling of the above?

Days like today with the sun blazing in (for many of us) open those windows!

Even if it feels chilly, the air will feel warmer, in the evening, for being drier.

If the weather is rubbish, then is the time t just ventilate when you're actively wetting the air and then snuggle in with the dehumidifier on.

Treat it the same as thinking about whether your washing would dry outside. The answer isn't the same in all weathers.
