Aibu to let my child sleep on the floor?

My 3 year old has suddenly taken to doing this most nights and I don't know what to do...

He has a bed but he keeps getting out throughout the night and sleeping on the floor instead (always in the same spot).

I'll go in and he's just face down on the carpet snoring away. I put him back in bed, when I check next he's back on the floor.

DH thinks we can't leave him there, I think if he's obviously comfy and wants to be there then we should maybe just let him? He can always climb back into bed if he wants.

Is this normal? I didn't expect my kid to prefer the carpet to a bed!

My DS used to fall asleep on his knees with his face on the carpet! Would stay like that for anywhere between 30 minutes or an hour. He's 23 now and will fall asleep anywhere!

I'd just put a blanket over him and leave him there. If he was uncomfortable he wouldn't do it!

Haha my kid this this too. So weird but it lasted about 6 months then back to his bed. Aren't kids strange. It's no problem tho, kids mattresses are crap anyway

I would just leave him to it. Your carpet must be comfy

Completely developmentally normal 😊

I’d 100% leave them.

My son is 6 and does this!

Well I've done it, just been and picked up a large pet bed from TK Maxx which as you can see totally matches our decor 💀

DD squealed, broke into hysterical laughing and when she finally could speak the first words were 'I love it, can I sleep on it tonight?'

Kids are brilliant!!
