He wants to see Travis. We've said they can go for the day, but he only wants to go to the whole thing so we have dug in, and said no.

15 is too young, isn't it? His older sisters are going, and if he is there they will feel they have to be responsible and look out for him, and that's not fair (and they never went anywhere at 15 )

Travis aren't doing many concerts any more but the DDs said they'd only be on for 2 or 3 songs and he'd be better waiting for a proper gig...

Oh how exciting for your ds!

We haven't quite got to this stage with ds1 as he turns 14 next month (so must almost exactly 1 year younger than your ds wendywebber).

It's been good to read the comments because tbh I'd have worried just like you. Have picked up lots of tips to file for reference!

Glad he's going. I went to Reading Rock Fest at 16 with my bro and a few others and had a ball.

If you're feeling indulgent slip him £20 as he goes, emergency beer burger money. I do remember being hungry after refusing my mother's attempts at givins us food and only taking some ritz and a madeira cake lol

would suggest taking bare minimum of gear, they won't want to change clothes anyway, and fumigating him when he gets home.

I would just give him money rather than expecting him to heat tins up. It's expensive but at least you know he's been fed properly (about £5 per burger) make sure he takes lots to drink though because they are really expensive so get him a bottle he can fill up in the tent and carry round with him. Give him plenty of snacks like crisps, cereal bars, bicuits, chocolate, things he can just open and bin rather than worrying about cooking, washing up etc
