Giving myself a boost after covid

Recently had covid again and I’m conscious that after last time I had it I seem to catch several colds/ bugs going around the months following. Has anyone else found the same? As we are going to be catching it several times do you think lots of us will end up with a weakened immune system? Anyway I want to try and give myself a boost and boost my immune system a bit so I can try and catch a bit less this winter - any tips?

Hi @C1239
Chlorella powder and Spirulina powder is good, both from Holland and Barrett. I mix both in some water.

It's more weakened lungs. My youngest (25) is needing antibiotics to shift chest infections and my eldest (36) needed extra days after surgery. Both normal body weight, very fit etc. Two of my DD'S work in hospitals and they are finding younger people are needing a bit more medical support than they would have if they'd never had Covid. We know that TB and pneumonia makes a difference to health. This seems to be similar. But it will mean that many people's immune systems will still be struggling. I second spirulina powder, it gives an energy boost as well. I mix it into foods. Put beans/pulses/legumes in every dish possible.

Vitamin d, c and zinc, probiotics and omega 3 fish oil supplements are my go to to compliment a diet full of fruit, veg, healthy fats, good quality protein, nuts, etc. Plus lots of fluid, rest and relaxation.

I like to make big pans of soup when I'm feeling a bit run down. There's something very comforting about it
