Leaving aside which rag it is in, the most basic grammar and ability to string a sentence together is missing:

The 28-year-old Knowsley Council environmental health officer died after being found dead in her back garden

Family of Ashley Dale, 28, shot dead in back garden arrive for trial

Ashley Dale's mother, Julie Dale (pictured), walked into the Queen Elizabeth II Law Court holding hands with Ashley's sister and her partner Rob Jones. Her father, Steve Dunne, was also in attendance.

Appalling - and where were the proofreaders / editors?

You can't die after being found dead!

But journalism has taken such a dive anyway- there’s web stories from a broadsheet here (Ireland), that consist of normal people’s tweets on a topic, and it happens regularly.

I just read an updated story on this trial. The "journalism" was slightly better. It seems she was targeted because of "disrespect" by her boyfriend who was a gangster. Boyfriend from hell I'd imagine.

It seems to me that the speed of getting something up online is more important than accuracy or spelling/grammar or decent journalism. The online DM is so massively popular I doubt they care much about the reputational hit they take from the few people who notice the errors/issues.
