My daughter chose a necklace for a birthday present. Vinted said it had been delivered but it hadn’t. I went through all the stupid hassle of filling in forms for them to take it up with the carrier.
this has been going on for weeks.
just got a message saying the carrier said they delivered it therefore we will now pay the seller.
I told them the carrier is lying. I don’t have the item. Not expensive but not the point.
At least with eBay it is up to the seller to prove tracking etc and refunds are much more easily managed.
with vinted it is up to the buyer and even then the carrier can just lie.

I would, for the peace of mind.
The stress of EVRI and Yodel just isn't worth it. Royal Mail gets my vote all the time. They aren't allowed to leave it on full view on a doorstep, it has to be taken back to the office or left with a neighbour.

Yes I guess it depends where you live. We live in a small, quiet village, all detached houses set well back from quiet country roads. So things could sit on my porch for a week without being stolen! My postie puts my signature on the parcels and leaves them on our porch to save a trip to the depot! But I guess if you’re in a busier place with lots of foot traffic it’s not as secure.
