Reasonable amount?

I am in my 50s. A professional going into a support role as previously burned out. Is £11 an hour reasonable? Contract work through an agency.

Doing what exactly?

I mean, how long is a piece of string. But it sounds as if you deserve more for your skills

Admin support but with responsibility

No one else can really answer that for you.

Is it enough for you to live on?

Doggymummar · 21/09/2023 23:05

Is that even national living wage?

crackfoxy · 21/09/2023 23:05

My 18yo son is paid more and works in a petrol garage. You're underselling yourself.

Just over. 10.42/hr this year.

Notagreatyear · 21/09/2023 23:12

I live just outside London

I'd speak to a few different recruitment agencies and ask what sort of roles you might pick up and what sort of wage you might be able to expect.

Doggymummar · 22/09/2023 09:43

Living wage London is £11.95 and outside is £10.95 due to rise in November. This is an unskilled wage and the minimum an employer of merit should be paying. For a woman of your experience I would expect more.
