last week we had a course on disability, which was fairly bog-standard, but come on, are there really workplaces where dinosaurs believe women, or black people, or disabled people don't deserve equal treatment?

i mean, its a two day course!

And goading the trainer can be SUCH fun....

Oh gawd, I had to so a "Sexuality Awareness" course once.

One morning spent listing all the alternative words for penis and the afternoon listing alternatives to vagina.

It was deathly dull....and they wouldn't let me write on the whiteboard.

Given the fact there are plenty of mum netters who think its OK for the word "dumb" to be on a spelling test and think its unreasonable for a Deaf person to be offended by the word "dumb" I think a diversity course is necessary. There is also ignorance on this thread of thinking that BSL users are non verbal.

i'm being forced to go on a diversity course as well, must be the latest fashion

so - how to lighten up these tiresome mandatory training bollox? i need tips. you see i get a bit bored after an hour and start being silly - leading to glares from the earnest ones and sniggers from the fellow childish.
would love some suggestions.
