To be so worried about my 15 year old DS

Really worried about DS15- he’s feeling quite sad & lonely I think. He’s struggling with friendships out of school. Lots of the kids he grew up with are going to parties, drinking, have girlfriends etc & he’s really young for his age so spends a lot of time on his own at weekends.
He’s got mates in school & plays in a footy team but seems to have been dumped by the mates he used to hang out with because he’s quite shy, introverted & not ready for parties etc. So he’s just at home mostly at weekends.
Any advice?

Let him be. They tend to fall out/grow out of friends at this age. Would he consider a weekend job ? Is he looking at going to college, where he’ll get new friends ?

@DustyLee123 yes he’s hoping to go to college next year so really hoping that helps. And yes he would like a summer job after his GCSE’s too so fingers crossed all that is better. I hate seeing him sad & upset to be honest

Suggest he joins Scouts or gets some other hobby.

@KnickerlessParsons he plays in a footy team. I have suggested scouts etc but he’s really not keen

He's only 15, I'd be more concerned if my son was drinking at that age. He's got his whole adult life to go drinking, partying and having girlfriends.
