To go look at this house

I'm buying a house. I'm at the point where survey is organised and paid for and booked. Solicitors have started their stuff. I've found a house 35 grand less than mine very close to mine with everything I wanted and more of what I wanted then the one I'm buying. It's being sold by the same estate agent as the one I'm buying. Wondering whether to go look at it or just leave it.

Reply from estate agents. Explanation given is that 2nd house is ex council house and close to current council houses and he said that has an impact on medium to long term growth.

I that makes sense and does put some people off. Ours is ex council and we got loads more for our money!

From that I think mine is perhaps a better investment but I still cant decide whether to go and see this other one. Ahhhhhhhh

Yeah I’d get a mate to book a viewing and go with. Until you’ve seen it in person you’ll always have a sense of ‘what if’.

I’d also if it’s not too far away drive down the street it’s on of an evening and scope out the vibe. Maybe a Sunday afternoon too.

When we bought current house many years ago we turned up for our appointment to find the house next door has just gone on market - as same agent was showing both we asked if we could view it as well - it was £30k more - it was helpful to see both - appreciate though that you have already got an offer accepted
