Obviously posting for traffic. 6 year old DS has head lice. Despite us all being treated 3 x we can't seem to get rid of the critters. I've been itching too and today combed these out.. are they eggs or lice? Urgh.

Anyone any advice please? At my wits end!

One thing we found kept them away (once got rid of) was Alberto Balsam Tea Tree shampoo & conditioner (plus it’s only a pound a bottle)

You need to wash all bedding and dry on high heat, and vacuum all mattresses thoroughly. Bring the bedding to a laundromat and use the dryers. All stuffed animals need to go into big bin bags for 72 hours. Carpets need to be thoroughly vacuumed. If your children have worn coats, hats, jackets, or scarves, all need to be hot washed and dried. All clothing worn during the infestation also needs a hot wash and dry. All upholstery that has had contact with the affected people needs to be vacuumed.

Ironing clothes, towels, and bedding will also work.

Tea tree oil. They hate the stuff.

Thanks all. We're armed with tea tree oil shampoo and conditioner, big bottle of headrin once and a nitty gritty comb. Im really hoping we can get one top of them Sad
