To want cat-owner to acknowledge impact on me?

My neighbour's cats use my garden for a toilet. I'm sick of having to deal with it. On top of plant pots, in my veg bed, etc. They make no attempt to bury it so it sits there stinky until I pick it up. Properly turns my stomach and spoils my enjoyment of my garden on a daily basis.
I know they can't be kept out or trained not to. I'd never want to harm them - they're just being cats! I'd just like some acknowledgement from neighbour that their choice to keep outdoor cats is causing this.
I did ask if they would be willing to take a turn dealing with it, and got told no, cats bury it so you can't even see where it is (some do - theirs doesn't), and anyway that's why they don't keep them in - they don't want to deal with litter tray (were originally indoor only kittens).

There are lots of plants you can plant that will repel the cats.

He threw shit into my garden yesterday . I have reported him to the police. Shit in his garden is HIS shit and he needs to dispose of it himself. Think what you like about my number of cats but actually throwing shit at people’s property is an actual offence/harassment.

The shit in his garden is YOUR shit. I presume the police will tell you this.

@AliOlis unfortunately people really do think like this in real life. We have such a cf next door with their dogs shit. I’m hoping the police see it returning lost property to its rightful owner - if they bother at all with batshit 9cats cf! They wouldn’t here - they don’t bother with football teams of supports shitting and pissing openly in the road on match days- can’t imagine cat shit rating any higher.

I put down blackberry branches. Cats are smart enough not to get hurt on them and shit stopped. And doff cat and dog repellent by entry points.

Afaik thry don't burry when there is a territory dispute. Which we had🙄 4 cats.

To be clear, I'm not suggesting every single poo is from their cats. Just a lot of it, which I can prove! Which is why I would appreciate them taking a turn at dealing with it - not deal with it all every day. Take a turn as their choices have caused a vast increase in the nuisence to me.

And that doesn't have anything to do with why I wouldn't throw it in their yard, does it? I don't want to behave in a contemptible way, even if others do.

We lived next door to a cat hoarder on a built up estate before we finally moved. She had 21 long haired cats. I had two toddlers. Every border in my garden was full of their cat poo. We filled all the flower beds with turf so they would no longer jump over and do their business. We would see them do it. The bloody cats also sat on the fence waiting for us to go in then jump off and do it. However, they just pooped all over the lawn. The smell from our garden and theirs was horrendous. The final straw came when we opened our front windows on a hot day. We couldn’t open the rear windows because of the smell. We came home to fine one of their cats had come in and pooped all over our team hallway carpet. This is obviously why they only had bare concrete and dried excrement floors in their home. We moved after this. Those cats absolutely did not bury their poop.

You are ridiculous. The police will laugh at you (or be annoyed at you wasting their time!). YOUR cats, YOUR mess. Why the hell should your neighbour clean up after YOUR cats?

Actually they are going to come out and speak to him. I was surprised to be honest. I half-expected them to tell me to phone the council or something but they are taking it seriously and are going to just see if having words with him solves the issue. He does not have the right to trespass and throw shit around.

Once he gives his side of the story I’m confident the police will see sense. You are so ridiculously selfish I can’t believe you’re real

You would think that - but when three men tried to steal my keys to my garage, and then proceed to block me in my car in my property, with their vehicles so I couldn’t get out of my garage, then decided to try and break into my car with me stuck inside it on the phone to the police - the police deemed it a ‘misunderstanding’. I was a 5’ 60yr+ women in her own, and they were three much younger men wearing hoodies and balaclavas and driving unmarked unregistered vans.
I don’t think cat shit gate will even register as something they need to get involved with.
