to be angry that when the local news covers the school allocation lottery they only talk about the rich kids

they go on about this lottery. but seem reluctant to mention that all the poorer dc's will now go to one school. no choice.

sigh, yes, in my town the cathcment area for the 'best' schoo, is down to 0.2km meaning none of us with less than £380 to spend om a house have no chance. We are already left with a 'choice' of really rreally crap school on doorstp or crap school 3 miles away with crap bus system notorious for bullying incidents.

if that's one of the bestschools in brighton ...i'd like to see the worst.

And yes to whoever mentioned apps to Brighton college. Theys had around 145 people going for 30 places in year 7 i was told.

MABS I got a letter from BC today - they are introducing a new y7 to meet demand - just for children from state schools.

2shoes I'm fine -just huge and waiting for baby to come (thought it was coming last week, but all stopped now).
