It's the upper right one. I'm terrified!

I was you a few years ago. I think I shook the whole morning and right through the treatment. It was alright in the end and a lot less painful than I expected. Good Luck!

You'll be fine. Loads of people have had it done and the dentists do it all the time.
The injections do hurt a bit but after that should be no bother. Especially on the top, I've had top and bottom out and the top ones were easy and it was over really quickly.

I had the exact same tooth taken out at dentist during a routine check up. They said it needed coming out and I said they might as well do it there and then rather than me coming back. Dentist was a bit taken aback I didn't want time to prepare myself and must have asked me about 5 times was I sure. Yep. Whipped out no problem. I didn't even realise it was a wisdom tooth until afterwards when they said!! She just kept saying "back right". Was back at work after about an hour. It hurt less than my previous experience of having a 'normal' tooth taken out.

Yes it will hurt, but you'll be reet.

Don't be scared, you'll be thoroughly numbed up and the top ones tend to come out a bit easier than the bottom ones. Think of how relieved you'll be when it's all done and dusted.

I had all four taken out at once with local anaesthetic. I was a teenager and it’s standard where I’m from to do it that way. The procedure itself is completely fine, the recovery can be nasty, though. Stock up on painkillers and a wheat bag. My face felt as big as the side of a barn.

BIossomtoes · 12/09/2023 11:15

I couldn’t believe how easily mine came out. Dentists are very skilled with injections now. I didn’t feel a thing and I didn’t even have a numb nose.

I had my upper left one removed recently. I have a bit of a dentist phobia and the removal wasn't pleasant exactly but it was bearable and I had no issues whatsoever afterwards. I took painkillers that night as I thought there might be a lot of pain once the anaesthetic wore off but when I woke up the next morning there was no pain at all. I went on holiday the day after it was removed and to be honest it was just as if the tooth had never been there.

I had 3 removed last year (in two appointments), and they were really quick. It feels like a long time but each tooth took around a minute. The worst part was the injections, tbh. All you will feel is tugging

shakeitoffsis · 12/09/2023 12:24

dental nurse here. Upper wisdom teeth are super simple to remove, usually just a quick flick with a luxator most of the time we don't even need forceps. You'll be fine.

Thanks for the reassurance, all! I'll try not to be such a giant wuss 😂
