Why is the UK Gov reluctant to intervene in Jagtar Johal’s case, he has been arrested for years in India for ‘terrorism’ charges. The UK intervenes when this happens in other countries like Iran but not in this case.

Bump? Why does this case seem to get much less attention.

Well there's the obvious reason...

It sounds like the UK govt has been involved? That news article is literally about the prime minister speaking to India about the case, and mentions two previous prime ministers did the same, and with the support of 70 MPs. These cases are never as simple as one country asking the other to release a national. There is always far more politics and legality involved in conversations than human rights.

I wonder if your question is really why this case is not receiving more public attention? Because there are over 1000 British nationals currently held overseas without convictions. Sadly, it's rarely considered newsworthy. These people rely on family, friends, communities for support to raise their profile.
