Discontinued fragrances!

Lighthearted, but in the past month I have discovered 2 of my favourite fragrances have been discontinued! One a perfume, one a home fragrance:
Jo Malone Orris & Sandalwood
Kew Gardens Damson & Jasmine
I'm so sad as both fragrances have strong associations for me and smell is my most powerful sense.
Anyone else had any fragrances discontinued they wish weren't?

Dans la Nuit - I think it was a Worth fragrance. I loved it so.

Also I was fond of Benetton Colours for a cheap spritz.

Spice girls impulse loved that smell so much I'm still gutted all these years later.

I wonder if there is a website that gives you suggestions for the closest current thing to all these lost perfumes? It's a gap in the market if not. A great job for a trained perfumier. Is perfumier a word? But ykwim.

Cachet by Prince Matchabelli. I wore than since it came out in the early 70's. Also the original Valentino in the fluted bottle and red box-none of the later Valentinos smell anything like it. It was a very heavy, spicy floral; so I only wore it in the winter.

Thé essence vault does this. I ordered from them once but then got bombarded with texts and emails so definitely tick the do not contact me button!!

Someone else mentioned it - Revlon Ultima II Sheer Scent. I have about half a mm in a bottle and can't bring myself to throw it out.

Closest I've found to it is aftershave Fahrenheit.

Absolutely beyond gutted that Gucci by Gucci was discontinued. I contacted them to ask why and did they have any bottles that I could buy but unfortunately didn't get any reply.

I have half a bottle of it left. Will need to make it last my remaining lifetime.

Also I flung a bottle out with a few drops left in it days before I found it it had been discontinued... absolutely devastated by my action's.

The Perfume Parlour dupe is pretty good

Can still smell it now its the smell of early 00's nights out.

Was it in gold packaging, a soft touch spray type thing ?

Quite a few from my teens/early 20s!

Revlon used to do one called Rose de Mai which was the nicest rose perfume I've ever smelt, I really miss that. Also loved Geminesse, and there used to be one called Audace (I forget who produced that one) which I haven't seen on sale in yonks so presumably they're discontinued.

Lagerfeldt used to do one called Chloe (not the Chloe that's around now), I loved that one too.

My perfume was Jean Paul Gaultier Fragile. Wore it at our wedding. There is nothing even remotely close to it and I’ve searched for years and not found anything I even like as much as a replacement.

Can you still buy Samsara - I used to love it as a great winter smell and bought myself a big bottle when I got divorced in 1990!!

You certainly can - I nearly bought some last time I was in John Lewis, but opted for Shalimar instead.

Tribe (think it was Coty), original Body Shop White Musk, Body Shop Ananya. I also miss Impulse Chic, and the one in the orange bottle that was launched early 90's. Also, what happened to Kyomi deodorant, I loved the smell of it!

There was a Gucci one just called Gucci. I’ve just looked it up and it’s £250 for a random old bottle. It was heavy and musky without being to OTT. I miss that so much.

I was just coming on here to say Fragile, I miss it so much. It was the perfect scent for me, I loved it and would never have used a different fragrance....and you're right, nothing else comes close to it. I was told that Perfect by Marc Jacobs was close, was given it as a gift, nope, nowhere near as beautiful.

@ssd haven't bought Jo malone for a while as it's so pricey- but when I did I really loved that one!!
