To not allow baby in car until DH stops speeding?

DH speeds on the dual carriageway way by 10-20 mph and speeds by 10mph around the city. He also panics when our DS cries for a feed when in his car seat and speeds to find somewhere to pull over which makes his driving really erratic. I don't drive so and he doesn't want to listen to anyone who tells him to stop speeding or slow down. AIBU to refuse to allow baby in the car again?

“he doesn't want to listen to anyone who tells him to stop speeding or slow down.”

Does this include you’ve told him that for the safety of your baby he needs to drive more carefully? That his driving terrifies you? That you fear for your son when husband is driving? That you’re a new mother and he has to respect your instinct to protect your child?

If so, dear god I am so sorry you are married to that.

I don’t know what the answer is here, but I can assure you YOU ARE NOT BEING UNREASONABLE.

I never knew. Thank you

It took me literally years to realise myself and even then, I think someone had to tell me on another thread.

No YANBU. I don't drive either (disability has so far made it not possible to learn despite my best efforts). DH never speeds. He's told taxi drivers off for it in the past when we've had DD with us (we didn't have a car for a few years).
