yes it is possible. I had DS 4 years ago, although my pelvic floor was weaker, it’s not now and I’m pregnant with DC2. Pelvic floor exercises are important op x

Completely fine now after 2 kids. Youngest is a few months old. I didn’t even do pelvic floor exercises either. You should do them though. You never know how you body will react to the pressure of baby in that area.

BitOutOfPractice · 03/09/2023 11:49

Yes. I’ve had 2 and never Had a problem with pelvic floor. I have always done the exercises though. Only sort of exercise routine I’ve ever stick to tbh

I'm sure there's a mix of luck and genetics. And how many babies you have.

I'm lucky, DD was 6lbs. I did my pelvic floor exercises during and after pregnancy. I also used an aniball to prepare for the birth and for me I think it really helped get used to the sensation of crowning so I didn't panic and push too hard to quickly. I had one small tear but near my urethra which healed without stitches. I also gave birth at home (unplanned lol) so I actually gave birth standing/squatting and not on my back which can increase tear risk.

After about 4 months all felt back to normal and I have no problems.

My pelvic floor was also fine after 2 babies, however post menopause it's not so great and wish I'd done more exercises.

UndercoverCop · 03/09/2023 11:53

DS was huge and also got stuck during delivery, I sustained a tear and had to have an episiotomy, my pelvic floor is absolutely fine.
I did do pf exercises during pregnancy and after, but I wasn't religious about it.

Twizbe · 03/09/2023 11:53

Yes. I’ve had 2 kids vaginally and mine is fine. I did yoga before, during and after pregnancy. I do lots of pelvic floor exercises and always have.

If you’re planning pregnancy things like bridge pose can really help pelvic strength.

LaDamaDeElche · 03/09/2023 11:54

I've only had one, but mine is exactly the same as it was before. I've always done Pilates and pelvic floor exercises though, so it could be down to that.
