AIBU to want sleep headphones that don’t wake me up to tell me BATTERY LOW?

I really don’t think I am, but who knows on MN these days.

Please tell me about your sleep headphones that are actually designed for sleeping, rather than yanking you out of a nice snooze to tell you about their battery status. Before I end up strangled to death by my old, wired headphones in the middle of the night.

They don’t last long as in they break easily? Had mine about a year. Truth be told the actual headband and the controller but isn’t quite as good as the cheapo “musicozy” ones I had from Amazon but that said by the time I was on my third pair of Amazon ones and they started shouting at me at 3am I was prepared to pay more and wasn’t bothered about the slightly fiddly controller (though I’ll be pissed off if they stop working) The battery life is good.

I bought some mpow ones off amazon and they last me a 10 hour shift at work. I have them on constantly listening to audiobooks while I do my very boring factory job...

In case the ones you’ve ordered don’t work out, I have these that also don’t announce “battery low” and just turn themselves off m: Navly Sleep Headphones https://amzn.eu/d/8pbdD37

I have these https://amzn.eu/d/4ACmBfg which just turn off when they're out of battery. Have had them a couple of years though so there's the possibility they might have updated them...

DH has these! He says no low battery warnings. He also has 2 sets so ones on charge whilst he uses the other.

Amazon reviews say there’s a wires coming loose, looping around, fraying and breaking issue. Which for double the price of the standard ones is off putting.

Ooh, I didn't know Acoustic Sheep aren't supposed to live long. I've had mine a couple of years and can still get two solid nights out of one charge. They were expensive but I totally love them for insomnia.

Two recommendations for the Navly ones… definitely on my list to try next.

We have several sets of these. https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0BCK26RZ7?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
I use them at night in a shared hotel room - I listen to audio books and set the auto-off for 60 minutes. Sometimes I reset it several times, they have never woken me but they have helped me fall asleep.
