AIBU to think I’m pregnant from having sex with a condom once?

DH and I had sex on what I think was ovulation day (according to Flo app and had clear, stretchy CM). We used a condom and DH said he checked it after and it hadn’t split.

I’ve had strange pulling sensations and mild twinges down below the last week, very slight sore nipples and sore right breast. Something just feels different.

AIBU to think I’m pregnant if the condom didn’t split? I’m due on in 4 days so will test then.

(P.s. I have suspected PCOS but always had regular cycles until last month where it was 40 days, so perhaps it’s PCOS related… I’m so confused :()

I think a positive pregnancy test is much more likely to mean that you're pregnant rather than you have cancer. Condoms arent terribly reliable as contraception even if they don't split so I don't think there is any mystery here. False positives are fairly rare unless you were looking at an evaporation line or something.

I’m not just going to scroll past that and leave it on the internet uncorrected. Condoms are extremely reliable as contraception. Extremely reliable.

Think about what you’re putting on the internet to be seen for years to come fgs.

Your own NHS says that if used condoms are also 98% effective at preventing pregnancy. This means that 2 out of 100 women using male condoms as contraception will become pregnant in a year.

But it also says in real world use, about 15 in every 100 women a year who use condoms as contraception become pregnant (85% effective). This is due to incorrect use, condoms bursting, or slipping off.

You can scroll past that or not.

Yes agreed with others i think you are over thinking it.
Plus you are not late, if you was late and allowed for extra time because of PCOS, then that would be different.

I get those pulling sensations a day or so before I come on, every single time.

Do you want to be pregnant? Or is it a very bad time to be pregnant? I think you're symptom hunting...

This - and they are mostly unreliable when it's user error I believe.
