This is so true!
I made the mistake of renting a flat to a cat owner. Never ever again!
The place stinks to high heaven, the cat wrecked every carpet, the sofas, the walls! It's a cheap rent so the £450 deposit covered fuck all. Not to mention the lost rent for the time it'll take to sort or the fact that we have 3 kids under 6, both work and have fuck all time to be re-renovating a flat. Oh the rage!
Anyone who thinks its 'just a bit of wee' is living in fairyland and completely nose blind.
(And before anyone starts, it was a flat I bought and lived in myself as a student and now can't sell, not even at massive (40% loss) or on council buy back, so I am not just an accidental landlord but a hostage one.)
OP glad you got your cat back safely and hope the new neighbours aren't too upset.
