Depends where you are?

BernadetteRostankowskiWolowitz · 26/08/2023 23:01

Is the event adults only? If its for all guests, then kids are gonna be there too.

Happycolas · 26/08/2023 23:19

I'm with you OP!

A few years ago, I went to a party, trying to enjoy the music and dance. Bunch of young kids were hogging the dance floor, jumping and screaming the whole time.

Finally had enough after an hour, grabbed my family and left.

DH had the cheeks to tell me I was unreasonable. All because "it was DS' classmate's 7th birthday party". 🙄

If it’s not an adult event only then the kids are entitled to be on the dance floor too. It’s not just your holiday.

TheFairyCaravan · 26/08/2023 23:39

I agree with you @madmumofteens. Children running wild shouldn’t be ruining it for everyone else.

fitzwilliamdarcy · 26/08/2023 23:47

Adults shouldn’t have to book adults only in order to have a right to use a shared space.

Family friendly doesn’t mean “only kids get to use this, anyone else can fuck off”.

YANBU OP.

Depends where you are?

@MrsSkylerWhite , why does it depend where the OP is?

WhateverMate · 26/08/2023 23:52

Why can no-one get on the dance floor?

MarshmaIIow · 26/08/2023 23:54

It's the kids' holiday too. I'm glad they can let loose. Don't like kids, book an adult only holiday.
