To accept accidentally reduced item as karma?

Was in Supermarket going through self checkout and you have to get store staff to punch through discount. They have reduced something priced £50 by 75% along with the fruit and veg.

There have been a few times they’ve failed to reduce stuff so you pay full whack for going off that day produce. Also double scanned stuff that you realise later. I once paid double for laundry pods about £8 and was really annoyed as I was home before I realised and felt I couldn’t insist on a refund later in the week.

Anyway IABU go back and pay up

Are you worried that the till software has been deliberately written to add up wrongly or hacked in some way? Have you ever found that the total is wrong?

I quite often find mistakes on my receipt with items being charged at a different price from the shelf ticket. I assume it's because prices are so all over the place these days that staff doing the shelves/ticketing struggle to keep up but as it's happening against a backdrop of what feels like systemic overcharging across the board, while supplying reduced service, I always go back for a refund where possible.

No I wouldn't bother. Just forget it.
