To take DC7 and 10 to gullivers land?

Posting in AIBU for traffic. Is Gullivers Land in Milton Keynes suitable for DC 7 and 10? Online reviews seem mixed and worried they may get bored. Any other suggestions for a theme park approx. 1-1.5 hr from London?

There are a couple of bigger rides the 10 year old might like, but not many. I would say its more for 4-8 years old. It's a bit tired too , though not bad value for money given the price.

Sorry forgot your second question. Paultons is amazing for that age group. Ignore the fact that it's marketed for Peppa pig fans, that's in a separate bit to the main park, where there are some really amazing bigger rides that will suit both the 7 and 10 year old, and maybe only 1 or 2 that the 7 year old will be too small for. It's very well kept, immaculate, short queues etc. Though obviously very much more expensive than Gullivers

Sorry OP, but I think they are too old to be more safe by Gullivers. My DC all had nursery outings there.

Hellocatshome · 21/08/2023 23:09

The 10 year old is really at the upper end for Gullivers depending on their liking for rides. If they dont like big rides then it may be ok.

impressed by...no idea what he spellchecker 'safe by' thing meant!

ElthamLemur · 21/08/2023 23:11

Gullivers is shit. Paultons Park is fantastic and has loads for that age. I’ve been to both.

Amethys · 21/08/2023 23:15

Legoland and Chessington are fab.

FartVandelay · 21/08/2023 23:19

Thank you! Will look at Paultons!

We went to gullivers in Derbyshire a few years ago and had a great day although thT looked tired at the time. Queues were short though.

10yo maybe too old. Legoland more appropriate age range.

Switcher · 21/08/2023 23:21

My 10 yo still likes Gulliver's but it's probably partly nostalgia. We all enjoy the flume and there's a fairly scary dragon ride. The rest of the rides are for much younger kids.

ElthamLemur · 21/08/2023 23:31

We were at Paultons last Saturday. It was a bit showery but no queue was longer than 20 minutes and most were 5 or 10. Your 7 year old will be able to go on all the same rides as the 10 year old unless he or she is very small for their age. It has a great balance of thrill and accessibility. Gardens are beautifully kept too.

Yes! It's great! Go!!

letmesailletmesail · 22/08/2023 07:31

No to Gullivers Land or Legoland. Both too young
Chessington seems the obvious one. Paulton's Park would also be good although it has a lot of spinny rides so isn't as good if your DC don't like those.

VisitorDilemma · 22/08/2023 08:30

Mine loved Gulliver's at that age, but then they're not fans of big rides. So it was nice to have everything closer together than at one of the big parks, and queues were shorter too. Totally depends on your kids though.
