Hair removal help…

My (very nearly) 12 yr old has VERY dark hair. She is really conscious, especially about her armpits and bikini line. I have waxed her armpits for her, at her request, after having a conversation about bodies, hair being normal and not having to look a certain way in order to appeal to others.
Anyway, she is going to a swimming party and is really wanting to remove the hair around her bikini line. We tried wax strips and they they were awful and bruised her badly.
She said she’s too embarrassed to go to a salon, and I’m not sure they would wax her as she is so young.
Do I buy a home hot wax kit? Is this easy to do? Or hair removal cream?
I know I should tell her to stick two fingers up to the patriarchy and media depictions of how women ‘should’ look, but I am
also aware that she is also a young girl who is feeling self conscious…
Any (sensible) advice welcome.

My DD is 17 and I have just got her lasering - I asked if there was an age limit and was told if they are under 18 then a parent has to stay

It was expensive but they had 50% off and she did 8 sessions for the price of 6

I figured that DD will save time / money in the future

Laser treatment is great, I've had it done myself but when I asked about my 14yr old having treatment they said it would be a waste of money as the hormones in younger girls will just keep the hair coming back.

I'd go for cream at this age...

Cream at that age I'd say. Do a patch test first. Bruising from waxing is usually due to poor technique and not holding the skin taut.

Veet hair removal cream generally works well. I would say waxing the bikini area only works well if done by a professional
