I would love to be friends with Emma Kenny - I find her absolutely fascinating.

‘Claudia Winkleman - I’m convinced we’d be best friends if we actually met.’

couldn’t be doing with her, I’d be moving her fringe every few seconds to see her face. Be like being mates with a Shetland pony!

I’d like to hang out with Florence Pugh, reckon she’s odd in a really good way. Plus, you can actually see her mush…

I've been in the same room as Florence Pugh :D I went to the BFI Film Festival premiere of "The Wonder" last October and she was on stage before the film started. I'd love to meet her aswell

There's loads I'd love to chat with, but I'd have to get to know them properly before saying I'd want to 'be friends' with them. I've always thought the late Johnny Cash would have been an interesting person to chat to, as I love the story telling aspect of his songs. I'd also love to be able to speak with people who lived through different historical time periods, but clearly most of them are dead now so that's not really possible (and many are possibly not famous either).

Same. Most of the ones I can think of are actors, and I really don't know much about them, it's just their characters I have liked. Often enough the real people turn out to be disappointing, to say the least (Peter Sellers or Sir Alec Guinness were my early "I'd love to know" ones, but knowing more about them, no, definitely not, even if they were still alive).

Sara Cox - she’s 10 years older than me but I think we’d get along like a house on fire. My eldest DD was born around the same time as her eldest DD, she was on radio 1 at the time and obviously talked about her pregnancy - it made me feel a bit less alone as I felt really isolated, young, and tbh petrified about having a baby. And I think she’s hilarious, she cracks me up.

I'm torn between Sandi Toksvig and Bill Bailey. Can I have both please?

ladygindiva · 01/10/2023 11:24

Victoria Coren Mitchell. Reckon she has a dark sense of humour and would be a right laugh two or three wines in 🤣

CoughingMajoress · 02/10/2023 02:04

Blake Lively (would like to bake cookies with her, and rifle through her clothes), or Rylan (met him once and he seemed really nice), or Jake Shears (heard him on a podcast and now want to go partying with him).

Two of my close friends have worked with Jake Shears and know him really well, but for some reason they're less keen to introduce him to a not very hip middle aged woman, God knows why!

Stigsmother · 02/10/2023 02:13

Liza Tarbuck, Sara Cox, Sally Phillips, and Bob Mortimer please 😊

I was wondering why nobody had said Miranda Hart yet! She'd be top of my list too.

Katherine Ryan
the late Ken Goodman
Victoria Beckham
Ainsley Harriott

Badbadbunny · 03/10/2023 16:41

The late Olivia Newton John. Lovely personality, loved nature and animals (especially horses), raised millions for charity, and probably one of the best singing voices of her era. Never heard anyone say a bad thing about her, which is almost unheard of in showbiz circles.

lazarusb · 03/10/2023 16:45

Me too, I think he'd be a brilliant friend.

Passthesickbagmabel · 03/10/2023 16:49

I have met Jo Brand she lived near my mother for a while and i can confirm that she is lovely, warm and kind.My mum thought a lot of her .
My daughter went a rugby event and said she had been seated neat to a girl called Sara who was really friendly with a cheeky sense of humour. Very down to earth. Turned out it was Zara TIndall ,or Phillips as she was then.

Would love to meet Stephen Fry and Lee Mack.Oh and Victoria Coren -Mitchell .
