To ask for help "letting go"

Have suffered some emotional trauma lately which has led me on a bit of a path of self discovery (as wanky as that sounds!)

I've realised I have always had a big problem with feelings of bitterness, resentment and jealousy towards lots of (innocent!) people in life, which has been getting worse since the "trauma". Things like comparing my home, relationships, etc.

I am not proud of it and realise what horrible and damaging traits they are.

I wondered if anyone had done the work to let go of these kinds of feelings/reframe their minds and could offer any advice/resources?

Would counselling be an option?

Sorry, yes, should've said. I am seeing someone, but can only afford monthly and don't seem to be getting very far atm x

I read "the power of now" a few years ago. Really helped me quiet my mind from those intrusive and negative thoughts. Perhaps a good supplement to the counselling.

There are guided meditations about surrender/letting go. I also recommend keeping gratitude notes in your phone or diary to focus more on yourself and what you do have to be positive about.

Thank you so much, will definitely try those things xx
