WIBU to call the police on non-emergency number because of a group of teenagers?

A group of teenagers (14 years ish I guess) are sitting on the stairs of my property, they smoke and are noisy and tried to intimitate me when I told them that I need to get past them to enter my building. I asked them politely to leave and told them that they are on private property, but no success. I managed to walk through them to get into the house. They don't look dangerous or aggressive, more like silly teenagers trying to be cool and impress each other. Mixed group, girls and boys. WIBU to call 101? Would they even care?

From the sounds of it they are just sitting there and the OP isn’t intimidated. Calling the police would make a mountain out of a molehill and cause more problems for the future. When I was a teenager I would actively wind up the people who reacted as it was more fun than the people who ignored us.

If you call the police for everything like this before you know it the crime rates have risen everyone complains about how it is not s as safe as it used to be all because someone has sat on a step.

Just play some very uncool music and open the window. They'll soon leave. They play classical music in some tube stations as a means to stop teenagers gathering
