Ryan Reynolds - yay or nay

I am watching yet another Ryan Reynolds film and just love his comedy delivery. The man seems like an absolute all-round legend, fit, funny and a gentleman. Lucky Blake Lively!

Reasonable votes: yes, you are right, all other men pale in comparison and he's the best.

Unreasonable votes: you are wrong, he's a pig, totally wooden and unfunny.

Man, just got to give him some appreciation. He cannot put a foot wrong!

I think he's funny but isn't my type so I wouldn't want to sleep with him at all

Haven't actually seen Deadpool, is it a marvel film?!

Have you actually seen any Ryan Reynolds films OP? Grin

Cute, definitely cute. Wouldn't shove him out of bed. Seems fun from his approach to social.media. Lovely with his kids.

AdoraBell · 12/08/2023 23:46

Whilst not the absolute best YANBU.

He sings too! He & Will Ferral we’re in a Christmas movie called Spirited on Apple TV and it’s brilliant.

I find the thing with him, Rob McElhenney & Wrexham bizarre. Like, I just don’t understand how the hell it got anywhere near their radar, even though I’ve watched the documentary and am an armchair Wrexham fan as a result. They really seem to be throwing themselves into the community there and it makes me love him even more.

Oh, there's a documentary about him and Wrexham? I need to see this!

Haha, fair. I've seen fair few of his rom-coms, and that Adam alien film, his recent Free City. I'm certainly no expert but just wanted to show some appreciation. Loving the tips coming in for future viewing!

I don't fancy him. But I’m not kidding, he’s my husband’s doppelgänger. I fancy my dh tho, emotional connection more than aesthetic.

I also don’t find Blake, his lovely wife, attractive either. I must be broken.

Free Guy was basically the Lego Movie in live action.

UnctuousUnicorns · 13/08/2023 00:02

I wondered just yesterday what he'll do when he outgrows these romcoms. He's the American Hugh Grant.

He’s Canadian.

Love him. Live 15 min from wrexham and all the family are season ticket holders (always have been). Him and Rob are brilliant.

omg! he's Canadian! and... he hasn't been known for romcoms for years? he's more of an action comedy star now. although he has also done some pretty dark stuff. he's a great actor. think it's time you changed your username lol

RyanReyFanClubCEO · 13/08/2023 00:31

Okay, that's me off to bed, thanks to everyone commenting and feeding my need to chat all things Ry Rey! Learnt a good few things too. Will definitely check out the films I haven't watched yet! Excited to think there's more yet I haven't seen!

Thank you!! Think I need to make a list of all his movies and cross them off. I was wanting to catch "waiting", very early film. Clearly I live in the dark ages!

Justleaveitblankthen · 13/08/2023 00:39

I have only ever seen him in one film: "Buried" in which he remained horizontal throughout.

He was pretty bloody good as a one hander, so I say yay.

Huge kudos for his purchasing of Wrexham too 🤗 ⚽
