DH has just been told by GP to go to local hospital (I'm waiting outside so that's all I know yet). Have to collect dd and bring her to cycling in an hour so that's now off abs I need to get keys to neighbour for her instead.

But what should I throw in case for DH when we pass house en route to hospital?

Im guessing:
2 pair pj's
Dressing gown
Sliders
1 change clothes
Wash bag
Charging cables
Phone and iPad
Eye mask

Anything else sensible?
Thanks in advance...

Glasses!

Mine are always on my face but I’m continuously amazed at the number of people who don't take theirs into Hospital.

Snacks and drinks, paracetamol.

Don’t put paracetamol in his bag. The hospital will give him pain meds if he needs them and it may be contraindicated in any case.

I have been to 3 hospitals since 4pm yesterday and spent time talking to a 4th trying to get him sorted. Local smaller public hospital (as private that we're covered in was full) couldn't admit per protocols but gave him a starter 2 injection dose and sent him home overnight but that he needs to be seen today. He's now passed triage again in the 3rd hospital and waiting on dr but long q ahead of him.

I have his bag in the car and waiting for the call that it's needed. And as the wait was going to be a while, he sent me off to get coffee locally. He's back to minimising it - but does know it needs to be treated.

This is our summer holidays...
Sorry I don't mean to be a drama llama but dd is typical teen ("Why couldn't you tell me sooner so my plans could have been adjusted?" attitude) and we're hours away from family so having a pity party with my coffee and need a long nap this afternoon after being nurse for nearly 2 weeks with various things and I also really needed a quiet holiday after manic year.

💐 For you these things are very stressful ,once he is admitted it is half the battle then they start the treatment .

@BiddyPop if you DH has orbital cellulitis then he has my utmost sympathy! I've had it several times and it is horrible. If they've started him on antibiotics then it should take a couple of days for them to kick in but I recommend a frozen flannel to soothe the area if you can get one! Or an ice pack wrapped in a hanky or something. The first time I had it I was warned that if I developed a fever I would need IV antibiotics but thankfully I've avoided it each time - just have to remember not to have any alcohol until the horse sized tablets are out of my system
