To think £50 compensation is a joke?

TalkTalk, I really would avoid them and they are the most complained about provider.

Router failed. I need internet for work. They kept promising next day delivery, it took 4 days in total - even longer than they originally said:

Lied that they sent it out and weren’t able to track it. Found out from Yodel tehy hadn’t sent it for 2 days. I lost 50% of my data, used petrol to get into an office every single day, missed a job interview.

They said they would send £50 compensation. I just think it’s a joke.

I’m with Talk Talk. Myself and neighbour were without internet due to an issue with their equipment. Took them 9 days to reconnect us both. I messaged them on messenger on fb as I got nowhere with their crappy chat on their site.

I threatened them with ofcom and they have just paid £65 compensation. First two days without service you don’t get paid for and like you I rinsed my data. Neighbour still hasn’t had the compensation.

Problem is that they are very user unfriendly. Don’t know how some people would manage to get anywhere with them. Useless.

And it’s £9.33 per day for being without their service, not including the first two days.

It’s more the outright lies. Saying they would get it delivered on next day and call to check. They didn’t call and it didn’t arrive. I had to complain again and they sent the complaint to a new person who said it was out for delivery today but they had no tracking - again it never arrived.

When I finally got tracking they’d only sent it Thursday confirmed by Yodel despite promising it would be sent on Tuesday). Complaint sent over to someone new again, said they would call and then didn’t bother. Then a fourth person contacted me. Then when I tracked it it wasn’t next day it wasn’t going to be delivered for 4 days.

It’s the messing around. Don’t continually promise next day delivery and callbacks when there’s no intension to do it.

@BreatheInn Even with all the messing around, lack of calls and missed delveries I still can't understand how you missed a job interview. Confused

If you have residential broadband, £50 is more than enough. They don't actually have to give you compensation - it's goodwill. They only have have to refund any days you were without service

If you rely on BB for work - get business broadband FFS

(I used to work for an ISP and this kind of shit is infuriating)
