NPower - well we used to live on a married quarter estate, adn I ran the Mums and Tots group. there was a poater with my name and number on up in the window. Anyway, NPower were doing the rounds of the place trying to get peoplpe to sign up, they changed the supplier for the mums and tots (which was a disused married quarter) by putting my name down, and forging my signature. We knew nothing about it until DH was " summoned" to see the Station Commander, to explain why his wife was going round changing the elecrtric and gas suppliers on MOD property.

Mind you there was a story in my local paper recently where one of the energy providers, entered someone's property (got in through an unlocked window) and changed the meter. The occupants didn't even know someone had been in their house until they went in the cupboard it sat in and realised it was a different meter. The energy company denied it of course and said they were let in!
