Vinted postage question

Wasn't sure where to post this, sorry.

I'm wanting to sell some stuff on vinted but I only want to use Royal Mail as a postage option. This is because the drop off points/printing options for many of the couriers aren't local to me and the faff it would take to get them there isn't worth the £2 I'd be charging for an old pair of jeans! I don't have a printer so I can't do it myself.

Will this negatively impact sales?

You have 5 days to post. I find it helps if you message the buyer if you know if will take a few days to post to let them know.

You can also reuse packaging. I've even recieved stuff in inside out bags for life.

Whatever you do don’t use Inpost!

Oh no why do you say this? They've all requested inpost!!!

Inpost is great. You can do it literally at anytime to suit yourself.
Yodel is good , only issue I have had is when the whole town ran out of stickers.
The only time I got scammed was when it was Royal Mail delivered . I actively avoid them now.

Update...I listed a load of bits earlier and have sold 5 items since about 2pm! I'm shocked and very unprepared. Had to nip out and buy a couple of postage bags but then I sold 3 more things! I've ordered some more from Amazon but they won't arrive until later in the week so I'm hoping I can get away without sending them until then.

I think I get the inpost locker thing. I just hope the one near to me has space as it's saying it's often full.

Who'd have thought it!

Hi OP

packaging wise I've also double bagged with decent carrier bags when I've been desperate, turned inside out.

I've sold three more things overnight! It's fab but I'm worried I'm going to get confused with all the various codes and parcels.

I took two items to inpost this morning. There were no small lockers so I had to use medium ones even though the parcels were relatively small. Will this incur extra costs for the buyer? I hope not.

I sell on Vinted and used to use InPost a lot but then it changed its policy and didn't send you a QR code. You had to print the label off yourself which was a problem as I didn't have a printer. Has it changed back to the QR code?

Yes this is what I used today. I don't have a printer either so I need something that either offers a label printing service or just needs a QR code.

It would put me off personally as a buyer - as postage is more expensive.
As a seller it would also put me off , as you have to pay for postage outright and claim it back.

I think that buyer protection for items lost or damaged in the post should only be available on items sent tracked. If you won't pay the extra pound, take your chances.
