To think describing someone as ‘well bred’ is problematic?

A friend commented that her first impression of me is that I seemed ‘well bred’. In other words she thought I was a bit posh.

I am really surprise people think that is an acceptable thing to say and that it implies good manners.

It is horrible to talk about humans breeding and worse to imply that good manners or speech is down to breeding.
