To wonder where the hell his toothbrush was??

(Lighthearted because we definitely can’t solve or prove this here…)

Just got home from a date a few hours back. He told me before the date he couldn’t stay out too late as needed to join a work call at 11 (which is legit for the type of work he does).

Went back to his place for a last drink.

Used his loo and noticed NO toothbrush and toothpaste on the side of his sink????

My conclusion - he’s seeing someone and he was going to stay at her house overnight, which is why his toothbrush was missing.

What on Earth other explanation could there be?? It was really bizarre.

It didn’t really occur to me at the time but I should’ve asked!

Shame because I quite like him, but that seems a bit suspect to me.

I keep mine in the bedroom always

GoodnightJude1 · 28/07/2023 05:30

My toothbrush and toothpaste is in the cabinet above the sink. I don’t want it left out where random poo particles from the toilet could fly up and land on it 🤮

I also hate stuff left around the sink…it looks messy and DH would be constantly knocking things off and not picking them up 🙄

newusernamelouie · 28/07/2023 08:36

Mine lives in my cabinet too so that it's not in the poo air! I think a lot of people are this way!

dullandgrey · 28/07/2023 08:40

I keep mine in the drawer. Don't want any smelly fumes penetrating the toothbrush by leaving it out on the side. Or little poo particles floating on it when the toilet is flushed. No thank you, very much.

dullandgrey · 28/07/2023 08:41

Oh I see the poo particle is a thing other people are also worried about. I do not feel so alone now.

CountryStore · 28/07/2023 08:44

I keep mine in the bathroom cabinet. I'd be quite flattered if someone thought my life was so exciting that I was shagging 2 people 😂

DuckyShincracker · 28/07/2023 08:56

Some people keep their toothbrushes in the kitchen. A lot of them are the older generation that I work with but I'm always surprised for some reason!

ChristmasFluff · 28/07/2023 09:03

Yeah, I hate clutter on my bathroom sink. Our toothbrushes/paste etc sit on the windowsill, so would be invisible when the blind was down.

However, with blind up, it would look like I had false teeth, as I have Steradent there for my mouthguard.

ThatFraggle · 28/07/2023 09:04

Google 'fecal spray'.

Then you'd keep yours in a cabinet/toiletry bag.

dottiedodah · 28/07/2023 09:11

I think you are not supposed to keep them in the bathroom ,as not very hygenic ? We keep ours in our bedroom .

Inspectorgadget2 · 28/07/2023 09:12

Thanks all. I’ve decided I like the false teeth theory best so let’s go with that!

Mine stays in the shower, I prefer to brush in there

BrightLightTonight · 28/07/2023 09:44

Maybe he has dentures and a glass by the side of his bed - no need for toothbrush or toothpaste

Whocanbelieveit · 25/02/2024 00:23

Does he have an en-suite? Maybe you used the guest bathroom.

FizzyWizzyBubbles · 25/02/2024 00:27

Ours are in a cabinet, never out.

LorlieS · 25/02/2024 00:31

Once a guy I dated had no loo roll in his ensuite so he ended up passing me a roll through the slightly opened door; the first thought I had was "Well good indication he lives here on his own then!" 😆.

FabFebHalfTerm · 25/02/2024 00:53

Mine's in the kitchen as it's the least annoying place for charging. Toothoaste & manual toothbrush, floss etc in a small drawer next to the sink.

fridaynight1 · 25/02/2024 01:17

Don't judge this man.
DH keeps his toothbrush in the kitchen. He brushes his teeth after breakfast because it's a faff to come back up 2 flights of stairs to do it.
I keep my toothbrush in my bedside table - well away from poo droplets. Childhood memories of gobslime lurking at the bottom of the toothbrush 'pot' is something I can never unsee or ever let happen in my bathroom 😱
Plus I don't like my sink to be cluttered with stuff.

MissFancyDay · 25/02/2024 01:23

I keep mine in a drawer in the bedroom. Well away from poo air.

Treehuggingmutherfunkin · 25/02/2024 01:42

Cupboard? Charging somewhere? I don't keep my toothbrush out due to flushing the toilet with the lid up, not me but others POO FUMES!

AstralSpace · 25/02/2024 01:46

Did you check in the shower?

SD1978 · 25/02/2024 01:50

So because you can't see his toothbrush, he's prepacked that and toothpaste to shag someone else.......I'd move on if I were you for his sake. That's batshit.
