To think last minute rotas are not good enough

I work in domiciliary care, and fortunately have just signed up to start with a more reputable company pending references etc.
With my current company, I give my availability on the Wednesday for the following week (it's a 0 hours contract)
You'd have thought that they'd be able to produce a rota on the Friday for the following week.
I am still waiting on my rota for this week. I asked for my rota today but have not received a reply. So at present I am unable to plan anything else because I have no idea what I'll be doing between Wednesday and Sunday, nor how many hours I'll be getting.
Thankfully I have another job but it's school-based so closed for summer.
I am looking forward to starting my new role because they offer guaranteed hours and rotas done a week in advance.
Aibu to think this is unacceptable?
Occasionally they do have it ready on the Friday but not often, and it's always subject to change.

How did you know your hours today though? I get you though op, and it's even worse given your job-I work in retail and I find out Saturday night when I'm working the following week and it means I can't make any plans

I am 'bank' staff, even though technically all of us are bank staff because we don't have guaranteed hours, sick pay, etc.
The difference with the other employees is that they work fixed days and times, e.g. my colleague will only receive hours from Monday-Thursday between 7am and 3pm. Mine changes each week, however they should at least treat employees a bit better.

YANBU

I left a job I adored because they couldn't wouldn't give me set days. It's fucking annoying.

I wasn't available for today so this was my only day I knew what I'd be doing.
Yeah, I understand, my partner also receives his rota Sunday night for the following week, it's poor.

It's not good is it, they expect 110% flexibility from us but cannot offer any on their side.

Bank work is often covering for sickness though and they won't know till last minute
