To have complained in the supermarket

Won't name which one, but one of the leading ones, a superstore.
I used the toilet there and it was absolutely disgusting. The floors covered in soggy paper, not one toilet that didn't have urine or worse splashed all over it.
Used one as I was desperate.
Reported it in a polite manner and the customer service lady was understanding and said she'd pass it on.
Ate in their café as was pretty hungry and they had a 50% deal on. You really do get what you pay for I guess, but that's on me really.
Anyway that was just as bad, only about 3 customers but the floor looked like it hadn't been swept in days, staff stood around, dirty tables. Saw one kid wipe a snotty hand on the table, though I suppose that's not exactly the supermarket's fault.
I ordered a burger, wasn't expecting fine dining but I was served one of those toasted muffins with an evidently frozen burger, could tell by the taste, and those microwave chips.
It's my own fault, can't expect haute cuisine for only a few pounds I guess.
Shame how standards are so low though.

I work in a supermarket. Cleaning hours have been cut to the bone so often there isn't a cleaner on for most of the day.

Cafe is woefully understaffed. I mean everywhere is tbh but cafe are running at 100 hours less staff each week than they need. My 17 year old has just started on a 12 hour contract and has been given 39 hours in her first week. She's said she wants no more than 30 going forward. This however explains why they can't keep staff. Most people taking a 12 hour contract aren't able to do 30+ hours but management won't offer 25+ contracts which would attract more people.

We are currently on minimum wage. Wage deal in October to bring us up by 50p an hour but to pay for that they will cut overtime and recruitment and have scaled back the sick pay.

It's shit for staff. I have an interview tomorrow and am praying I get a new job sooner rather than later

You should know eating in a supermarket cafe, that you're getting their budget product that is 10 metres away but paying 10X for it.

I've had breakfasts before and considered myself daft after parking my trolley with eggs, bacon and sausages in.

Sometimes, needs must though. (Okay not needs, just wants!)

Yeah, it's difficult for staff I can understand :(
I shouldn't have eaten there, as I say I've had relatively nice meals in other supermarket cafés, and I'm quite easily pleased but that burger was vile.
Good luck for your interview!
