To ask how much your mortgage is?

I think I need a reality check. These rates will add £500 on to our mortgage. I’ve had a number in my head that I never wanted to pay more than mortgage wise and now ours teeters on the verge of that. Affordability for the mortgage says we’ve got still a lot more wiggle room but those numbers feel crazy

so if you’re in your 20s/30s how much is your monthly mortgage and if you don’t mind your household income?

Joint take home income is 15k per month. We have paid our mortgage off although that is in part because despite the bank offering to lend us £1m+ we bought a house worth 250k as that was all we needed.

Low interest rates encouraged people to purchase the most expensive property they could afford. It was never going to end well.

Take-home is £5500, mortgage is just under £1,300, but I overpay by £100 a month - would love to overpay more, but am aggressively saving for something at the moment (still, every little helps and all that). Recently remortgaged on a 5 year fix at 3.94%

This is for a (relatively low end of the market) 1-bed in London! I'm a first-time buyer and I bought alone with a 20% deposit.

Household income is 75k. Mortgage is £930.

Mortgage is £300 and drops down to 4 figures after the next payment. I am nearly 60 though and its a flat,so not as exciting as it sounds

£489z but round it up to £500.

Fixed rate ending 2026

Currently £1070, going up to almost £1700 on January 2nd 2024 😰.

Oblomov23 · 19/11/2023 17:46

£1100. It won't increase. We fixed it for 10 years, and it has a few years left to run until it finishes and our mortgage will be paid off.

LittlestG · 19/11/2023 17:48

£438pcm with an income of around £3.5k. £58k left on the mortgage (26 years left I think) and fixed repayments until 2028. We're mid 30s so hoping to overpay and pay it off by the time we're 50.

£7,500 net monthly, mortgage £2,700 in the south east. Plus nursery costs of £800 a month
