Soggy pot

My 6 yo broke his arm at school. We are now on holiday and I've got to say.. it's getting a bit damp despite his waterproof sleeve.

His pot is over his elbow, and the break is near wrist. The dampness is at the top of his arm

Any doctors? What are the implications of a damp pot? Should we seek medical attentions?

Linguistic adventures aside, it depends what type of cast it is. If it's a fibreglass one (the ones that often come in bright colours, look like someone has wrapped a solid plastic bandage around the limb) then may well be fine. If it's a plaster of Paris one (white, smoother surface but gets flaky) then it may need attention at the local ED plaster room. You may be able to call up, explain the situation and book a time slot rather than just sitting and waiting.

I imagine if the break is near his wrist but the cast is over his elbow then they've plastered it that high to stop his lower arm twisting. If it's just at the top I wouldn't worry too much although it's not ideal.
