Probably heat rash, after a shower just spray with a little deodorant

AuntMarch · 11/07/2023 23:02

I happened to have one when I was already going to the breast clinic - I had assumed, and the nurse agreed, it was probably heat related.
TMI but I am big busted so it can get a bit sweaty under there 🤢

Is it a sweat rash. I've had that before when it's very hot. Put two pantyliners in your bra to soak up any sweat. Stick them to the cups of your bra, half in cup half out, absorbent side to your skin. It definitely helps

It’s thrush. Canesten cream will help but you really need take the oral tablet.

Thank you. It’s so sore. My skin feels like it’s burning under there

First thing I thought was sweat rash

qbansopwt · 11/07/2023 23:09

Wash it, dry it, then cover it in sudocream!

ColdHandsHotHead · 11/07/2023 23:09

Yep sweat rash. As a pp said canesten cream will fix it like magic. Soap and rinse twice under there to stop it happening again.

Boopear · 11/07/2023 23:14

Chafing lotion also good.. Amazon.

Iloveanicegarden · 11/07/2023 23:19

It's called interigo. Check it out. Wash and dry area using hairdryer on cool. Get a cream such as Daktacourt and smear a little on the rash. It should be gone in a couple of days

Whatsgoinonnnn · 11/07/2023 23:21

Had this recently and It scared me. Definitely heat/sweat rash. I kept it dry (fanned it) and it went after a couple of days.

Wishihadanalgorithm · 11/07/2023 23:23

Keep the skin dry. Don’t add more moisture to a sweaty area. Athletes foot powder is your friend here.

The sanitary pads idea is good from a PP and you can even buy cotton or bamboo under bra sweat liners. I have some from Amazon and never get the rash now!

Hi there,
It looks like a heat\sweat rash, I used to get them all the time until a nurse during a check up gave me this advice and I haven't had it since.

Give the area a good wash using an antibacterial soap - don't use anything with a moisturising base. The antibacterial soap will help remove any bacteria and help dry out your skin. (I use imperial leather as it reminds me of my dad)

When you get out off the bath use two towels. Wrap one towel around you, but underneath your breasts - this will help dry the area completely. Use 2nd towel over the top.

Once the area is completely dry, use powder to again help keep the area dry. If I'm going to bed I don't use anything else. I use baby powder.

Then get a stick deodorant (I use Dove original) and apply it under both breasts before you put your bra on. DO NOT USE an alcohol based one, I promise it will sting so bad as I learnt.

I also use this on my stomach apron from C-sections. The key is to create a barrier to stop the rubbing which causes the rash.

I hope this all makes sense as I'm not very good at explaining things quite right because of my autism so I apologise if I have upset anyone.

Good luck op I hope it gets better soon!!

No definitely don't use sudocrem! If it's a fungal rash, sudocrem will make it worse. Use an anti-fungal cream like canesten, as pp have said, or coconut oil is an effective natural alternative.
