Salon burnt eyebrow skin and won't reply

So I had my eyebrows waxed yesterday, straight after the appointment on the way home I noticed my skin felt sore and was stinging and was visibly raw red in patches around my eyebrows.
I sent pictures to the woman who waxed my brows and she said it looks like a wax graze and it should be fine.
She asked if I used any retinol or products that could cause my skin to be thin. I said no because i never have.

She didn't reply to this message and I sent her this message today.
"Hi , my skin around my brows has still not healed or got any better, the redness has gone down a little bit, but it is still raw and extremely sensitive and stings even with just washing my face. It still needs to scab over and heal which is going to take even more time. This wasn't what I was expecting to walk away with from my brows appointment. I would like a refund please."

Then she blocked me.

I am lost at what I should do. This has caused me alot of inconvenience and she didnt even have the courtesy to apologise or even check up on me.

I know that she works at other salons. I went to her home clinic and was wondering if it is right to tell the other salon what has happened so I can get in touch. Would I be able to get compensation? Has anyone been in this position before?

Well she should have insurance if she's legit. How did you come to find her- if it was with her advertising as a legitimate business you'd hope there'd be some recourse. But as she's essentially freelance I'm not sure I fancy your chances in getting any compensation.

She should have insurance and you should be able to bring a claim.

If she doesn’t then you probably won’t get anywhere!

Maybe call in at the salon and ask for her insurance information, if they have it?

I haven’t been in this exact position but I did bring a PI claim against my old hairdresser - although they were employees, so it was the salon whose insurance paid out, not the individual!

Oh and take photos!

When you say compensation do you mean a refund? I’d expect a refund if it was bad enough but nothing more. How bad is it exactly? Take and keep photos so you have evidence.

I’d find another route to contact her and say you’ll be going public if she doesn’t respond. Give her the opportunity to put forward her own solution. But again, only if it’s bad enough.

There’s also this advice: https://www.nhbf.co.uk/advice-and-resources/complaints/making-a-complaint/

You could also talk to Trading Standards. If the salon has to be licensed they'd be at risk.

As an aside have you been using a retinol product? I can't have my eyebrows waxed any more as I use it and it makes my skin really sensitive

It’s literally in the OP:

Sorry didn't read it properly.

I also missed the home clinic comment.

Did you check she had PLI?
