Help! Sweat patches!

Hi- really hoping someone can help. I shower every day, always wear clean clothes etc. but I seem to sweat under my armpits a lot and ALWAYS get sweat patches. I don’t smell as I’m clean and hygienic but I just always get sweat patches. I’ve tried different types of deodorant and antiperspirant and it’s always the same. I’m scared of wearing any coloured tops as they show the sweat patches more so I mainly just wear black and white because it hides it. But I’m starting a new job in 2 months and will be able to wear any clothes I want. I want to wear bright colours and nice colourful clothes but I’m terrified of people seeing sweat patches. Has anyone got any advice or products that can be used to help it? For example I remember there were sweats guards for going on our old musical theatre costumes when I was younger to stop the costumes smelling etc but they are too big and bulky for everyday wear. I just wondered if anyone could recommend or advice of any products that might help?

TIA! x

(And people nobody comment that it doesn’t matter, it’s natural and nothing to be embarrassed about etc, it really embarrasses me!)

Could you afford underarm botox?

Electrophoresis, expensive but possibly life changing and same cost as one off botox.
We would share if you're near us

Use driclor. You apply it at night about once a week. It stings like fuck but if you put a tissue in my arm pit whilst it dries it stops it hurting. Then use normal deodorant each day. Worked for me

GETTINGLIKEMYMOTHER · 10/07/2023 23:35

Try Mitchum. Ages ago now, but it worked for me.

ThinWomansBrain · 10/07/2023 23:44

I used driclor when I had issues with my face sweating a lot - I used it on my forehead, didn't have any issues with it stinging - everyone's skin is different.
Maybe make sure you don't use it on the same day that you shave/exfoliate.

Drink an absolute tonne more water and there is less smell.
Then every 3-4 days used Driclor then normal deo

Dove creme anti perspirant is the only thing that works for me. And I live in a hot country

My brother had botox in the armpits done. It works

Perspirex Comfort. Doesn’t itch or sting but is in the hardcore category.

This is going to sound madly counterintuitive but as a sweaty person I’ve had great success switching to Wild, which is just a deodorant and not an antiperspirant. I don’t know why but it works for me!

Also lightweight layers, wafty semi-transparent blouses over vests and natural fabrics.

If you’re taking any medications maybe look at the side effects and if they could be increasing the problem then talk to your doctor about alternatives.

Talc ?

itsmylife7 · 11/07/2023 03:36

Driclor.....follow instructions carefully.

Cariebo · 11/07/2023 06:15

Driclor works like a charm for me. It does really hurt though. You can get it from amazon.

Ooh I've struggled with this for years - once chose where to work based on uniform colour because I was so paranoid!

I've had armpit Botox for this twice but don't have it regularly, more for big events. Now find cream deodorants work best.
