Sagging eyelids in early 30s

An aesthetics practitioner very 'kindly' told me (without me asking) that my eyelids are sagging, and that one is moreso than the other.
I know it can happen due to ageing but I didn't expect it already, I feel that I'm too young for this. When I look in the mirror, I can see it and it makes my eyes look smaller/makes me look very bland.
I've looked at surgery but it's not something I can afford at present.
Would just appreciate honest opinions on them, and any tips to improve them. I'd be willing to try Botox .

Also the sagging on one eye is worse as you can see.

Eh? That person is clearly biased. I wouldn't trust a word they said.

I appreciate you perceive your eyelids sagging and they may not be as they once were but they're honestly fine. You don't need anything done.

However, Botox has lifted mine and I'm much happier. I started regular injections at 40 and I think I look more youthful than I did beforehand.

I can't say I see anything wrong with them, but you could try eyelid tape as a temporary non surgical and no risk measure.

Try make up for hooded eyes. With eyes open, gently blend a mid shade in a straight line from inner corner to outer edge of the upper eyelid. This will give the illusion of a higher crease and open up the eye.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with your eyes and they are not "sagging" fgs

Thank you. Maybe it is in my mind, I do tend to criticise my appearance a lot. I will try the tips suggested.

Aren't they just encouraging you to spend more by playing on your insecurities?

Auntpodder · 09/07/2023 23:08

I can't see from the photo but if your eyelid is starting to cover the pupil when your eyes are open, it's a condition called ptosis. I had mine (partly hereditary, partly long term contact lens use) corrected on the NHS. One thing I hadn't registered is that it's done under local anaesthetic and feels very odd...

So somebody who makes money from people being insecure about their looks told you something that made you insecure about your looks? 🤔
I wonder why?

You look perfectly lovely.

Helena189 · 09/07/2023 23:15

They look the same as mine and they've always looked like this, I just assumed that this is what they call hooded eyes.

Lykkeli · 09/07/2023 23:32

Thank you. Maybe it is just in my head.

Thank you. Maybe it is just in my head.

Well, the aesthetics practitioner has actively put the idea into your head.
