Really Really want to rip DD's 'friend' a new one

Should start by saying I have absolutely no intention of engaging in any way - verbally or physically with this young person just for clarification!

Long time MN user but have name changed as a few people in our every day lives are aware of the situation and don't want to link back to any of my other posts.

Long story short: 14 year old DD (physically/medically disabled & ASD but otherwise typical teen) is being bullied on SM by long distance former 'friend' and their acquaintances. They are sharing really awful pictures, details about a relationship, calling my daughter out as toxic and generally making her life a misery. They are tagging her in everything and setting up fake accounts to stalk her and her friends - even posting on DD friends' social media to up the anti!

My daughter is heartbroken, devastated and her already very fragile self esteem is shattered into a million pieces. She has uninstalled various apps to keep away from what's going on but knows local peers are all talking about it :(

I've contacted relevant SM companies to report harassment & bullying & asked trusted friends to do the same. The ex friend is in foster care so I have also contacted Social Care in the area of the country they live in and shared screen shots with them. An investigation is under way and I may go to the police if things continue. In the meantime, I'm so angry and sad for DD that I'm mutinously finding myself wishing all sorts of horrors on former 'friend.' I'm concentrating on supporting her and reassuring her this will all blow over.

Anyone been through similar? What did you do and how is your child now?
