He's ended up with odd socks to school by accident before. There is a girl there (let's call her Hermione) who has been telling him off about this.

He thinks it's hilarious.

DS6 now wants to wear the most odd socks possible to school.

School does not care about socks.

As long as they are the same type of sock (same feel, stretch, thickness etc), I do not give a crap what colour/pattern they are, never have never will. I currently have one blue and black stripey, and one green with spots.

DD does it all the time on purpose, at the moment sporting one orange and one red sock.

Why bother with matching socks? I've got a red one and a blue one on at the moment. I've got 3 other pairs the same. Sometimes people comment and are amused. Someone, a professional, wore odd socks the next time we had an appointment even though it went contrary to his usual ideas. I had challenged his way of thinking.

We always buy packs of odd socks for DS.

I celebrate the days when I find a pair of matched socks for me, the kids don't even try lol. Think DD13 wearing sliders with a fuzzy brown sock and a pink stripy one, to the shops with me.

I used to care, truly I did. But now I'm just going to roll with it.

My kids wear odd socks all the time! I personally can't bear it: my feet feel wrong if the socks don't feel exactly the same on, so I don't like to wear a more-washed one or have a different seam or something. But everyone else is welcome to their odd socks!

My sister never pairs socks, she has a sock basket. All the family's clean socks go into the basket and they take what they need. I don't think I've ever seen her DC in matching socks 😆

I cant get worked up about odd socks as long as they are clean and more or less the same colour for school. Out of school what does it matter.

We wear odd socks a lot here especially those matching non mating socks that all came from the same multipack but have inexplicably lost their partners.
