To ask if this pregnancy test looks positive?!

I would never usually write a thread like this and have NC.

I have not had a period in 2 years and have PCOS. I cannot take the pill due to a health condition I have so my partner and I use condoms. We have a child already who is autistic with severe learning delays.

I have been feeling very nauseous all weekend but had really awful diarrhoea on Saturday so thought it was just a tummy bug. However my bowels went back to normal whilst the nausea is still going. I’ve also had cramping & the smell down there is different - really strong smelling and musky. V odd to me.

I decided to take a test, and got a very faint line within 30 seconds but it didn’t get stronger. Overnight it got stronger but thought maybe just evap. Tested this morning - unfortunately after a pint of water as forgot not to drink first! And got another faint line but this time stronger and more blue. This one also came up straight away and got darker. But again I’m thinking maybe evap?

so just wanted to ask if my eyes are going mad or if anyone else sees lines?

I can see lines.

Would a positive result be good or bad news?

Played around with the colour…

I'd stop torturing yourself over these two tests OP as nobody on here can tell you definitively if you are pregnant or not. The only sure way to know is to get another test. Any speculation is unhelpful whichever way you want the result to go as we have no idea if these are evap lines or not. Start again tomorrow (or give it a few days) and go from there. I really hope you get the result you want.

i’d get a pink dye test like a poundland one etc. i defo see lines but clearblue have had some shocking evaps lately

Paella2022 · 27/06/2023 17:28

Definitely do a pink one- doesn’t have to be an expensive one but blue ones are a bit notorious.

PLEASE don’t take a sample to your GP- our tests are the same and can even be less sensitive than the early ones you buy.

Wait 48 hours, test again.

Agree it looks positive but the pink dye ones like first response are much better at detecting early positives
