How many flower girls is too many?

getting married July next year. We have two daughters so naturally they are flower girls, and a son who will be walking down the aisle. Eldest daughter is 9 so more of a bridesmaid, I don’t have any adult bridesmaids walking down the aisle.

We have two nephews and six nieces over our family. I feel pressurised to include them in the ceremony (walking down the aisle etc) by family members. Love them of course and feel as thought I can’t say no but I’m just wondering how many flower girls/page boys are too many? Will it look odd having 11 kids going up/down the aisle? Or am I overthinking it? Is there a way to include them all without having that many kids up the aisle?

Those of you who are married is it something that is even noticeable on the day or shall I just keep everyone happy and include everyone regardless of numbers?

Just stick to your own dc.

One of the best weddings I ever went to had one grown-up formal bridesmaid. However both sides were large families and they were slightly older and their friends had dc.

They just put out a call to say all the little girls can wear a party dress, a pink sash would be nice and all the little boys dark trousers and a white shirt. There were about 30 children and they trooped in behind the bride and sat cross legged in the aisle. One or two got up to find their mum's lap.

It was wonderful

No. Stick to your own 3. Else it'll look like a creche trip out.

I was going to say 4 is the limit. 11 is absolutely ridiculous. It will look like a school assembly rather than a wedding procession.

I think including the others would be unfair on your own children.
it will be special to them being part of your wedding, adding loads of others devalues their part.

I think your own children only. For the nieces and nephews, is there some other way they can take part? As an example, were it a Catholic mass there are bidding prayers and each could say one.

Maybe they could have a different role? Confetti distributing or similar?

Just your own children
