Or search back through their old, previous posts.

For example

Post says: my son’s behaviour is really difficult

Comments: well, on your thread three months ago you said you were leaving your husband so this is probably why

Even just calling people out if they recognise you have name changed. I have spotted this occasionally myself but I would never call it out, what’s the point and what would I hope to gain?

OP posts:

@Quveas Surely they meant OP’s previous posts in that thread - not their entire posting history??

No that is not what they meant, and I have seen it before - if you look up an OP's posting history you get slammed / if you don't look up previous threads you get slammed. Sometimes looking up what people have said before can help the quality of what you have to say - people often don't inlcude stuff that is really important, not for any nefarious reasons but just because that is how people are, and they mention what is important at this minute.

Because it’s annoying and dishonest when people start posts, trying to get everyone to be sympathetic, when they’re not telling the truth, or missing out a lot of relevant information which would affect the responses.

Because it’s relevant.

Theres a woman who posted a few months ago about getting a dog - her circumstances were her and her DH worked FT, had 2 adults kids who were never in and lots of people said it was a bad idea. She then changed her story about working patterns and claimed her DH Was retired and she was PT.

Then the other day she posted asking for ideas on how to surprised her DH with his dream puppy - again spewing a load of inconsistent nonsense when posters advised a surprise puppy was a terrible idea.

hopefully she didn’t get the dog as she wasn’t well equipped for a sea monkey let alone a sprinter spaniel
